                           Marriage and Murder

Los Angeles: around 8 p.m on a Wednesday night
Luke put down the phone reciever and ran a hand through his hair. He sighed softly and made his way back into the living room, where Tracy, his girlfriend, was sitting.
Tracy looked up as he came in. "Its about time you got off the phone. Your running up my phone bill." she said, laughing.
Luke chuckled and sat down beside her on the couch. "Sorry about that."
"I swear, you two." Tracy said "How are they doing bye the way?"
"Oh their fine. He, Kelly and Olivia will be leaving for Houston tomorrow morning." Luke said
"Driving?"
Luke nodded. "Yeah. I told Bo to call me once they get there."
Tracy smiled and patted his knee. "They'll be fine, don't worry."
Luke sighed. "Yeah i know."
Tracy patted his knee again "You worry to much." she said, smiling and then added "I love you."
Luke grinned. "I love you to honey." he said, kissing her.
Once they broke off,  Tracy leaned her head on his shoulder and Luke put an arm around her shoulder.
"What would you like to do tonight?" Luke asked after a moment. "The boys aren't going to be home for a couple hours."
"Hmmm." Tracy said "You want to pop some popcorn and watch a movie?"
"Sounds good to me." Luke said. "You want me to get the popcorn?"
"Could you?" she asked "And i'll find a movie."
"Sure, no problem." Luke said and planted a kiss on her forehead as he got up. "I'll be back in a few minutes."
"Don't be long. I miss you already." Tracy said, grinning.

It was approaching midnight when Tracy and Luke finally went to bed. The boys had come in earlier and finished watching the movie with them before heading on up to bed.
Now, Luke was sitting in bed reading a Tom Clancy novel, while Tracy was in the bathroom, getting ready for bed. A few moments later, she put the hair brush down and as she left the bathroom, she turned the light off. She walked over to the bed and took off her robe.
"Luke." she said as she sat down on the bed.
"Yeah." Luke responded not looking up from the book."
"Can we talk for a moment?"
Luke put a marker on the page he was reading and shut the book. He looked up at her. "Sure." he said. "Whats up?"
Tracy rolled over to face him and she took a deep breath. "Luke I was just thinking about something." She said as he touched his hand.
"Ok," Luke said. "About what?"
"Well...you know all this time we've been together, I've never been happier and neither has the boys. We are like a real family Luke and I want to marry you."
Lukes voice left him for a moment and he was speechless. He looked at Tracy for a moment trying to find his voice again.
"Marry me? But Tracy..."
"But what Luke? I love you...and I know you love me and I want us to be together forever." She said holding his hand.
Luke sighed. "I love you to Tracy, very much, and i do want to marry you, its just...." he broke off, unable to express himself
Tracy reached up and touched his face. "What? What is it that has you so scared of marrying me?"
Luke took her hand and kissed it. "Its just a big step honey.." he said "And i don't want to hurt either you or the boys."
"Oh Luke that's silly! The boys adore you and there is no way you would ever hurt us."
Luke squeezed her hand. "Plus i don't want you to rush into another relationship. I mean i want you to be comfortable first before we jump into marriage."
"Honey, I never felt love like this for Keith, and I know in my heart that this is right. Please, let's get married."
Luke looked at Tracy for a moment, then smiled. "Alright." he said, reaching out and stroking her hair. "When shall we set the date."
Tracy smiled and kissed him gently on the lips. "How about this weekend?"
"What..." Luke started to say and then realized what she meant. "You mean elope?"
"Sure! Las Vegas in only a few hours drive and Mom and Dad have been dying to take the boys one weekend."
Luke thought about it for a moment and then grinned. "Ok, lets do it." he said.

Luke went into work the next morning, grinning to himself. He parked the car in the parking lot and got out, then walked around to the front of the station. He found Rick, Chris, Tony and Kyle wasing one of the fireengines. It looked like the others either hadn't made it into work just yet or were else where in the station.
"Hey guys." Luke said in greeting as he took of his sunglasses. "Having fun?"
"Yeah loads Luke." Tony said, grinning. "Why dont' you join us."
"Nah, i think the three of you can handle it just fine." Luke said "Where's the chief?"
"David's in his office." Rick told him. "Whats up?"
Luke shrugged. "Oh nothing much, just need to talk to him is all." he said. "I'll be back out and help you guys in a minute."
All three nodded and watched him walk into the firestation.
"Is it just me or is he acting a little parculiar this morning?" Tony said.
Chris shrugged and went back to cleaning the truck.
"I have no clue kiddo." Rick said. "I'm sure we'll find out sooner or later."
Luke walked to Chief Nelson's office and knocked on the partially open door. David was on the phone but waved him in anyways and jestered to a seat. Luke sat down and waited for David to get off the phone. Finally after about a few minutes he was off. He looked at Luke and smiled.
"Morning Luke. What can i do for you?"
"Sir, i need a couple of days off next week." Luke said, not telling David why.
David raised an eyebrow "Can i ask why?" he asked.
"I just need a couple of days off." Luke said, biting his lip to keep from grinning. "I'll tell you once i get back."
David's eyebrow climbed even further, really curious now, but he knew Luke would probably evade him more. Instead he nodded. "Sure, Luke. No problem."
"Thanks Dave." Luke said and got up out of the chair.
"No problem Luke, just remember to tell me about it when you get back."
"Sure," Luke said and left the office.
As he was coming out, Tony was walking towards the office. "Hey kid." Luke said as he passed him.
Tony looked at Luke's retreating back and frowned, he then poked his head inside of David's office and raised an eyebrow and pointed towards the way Luke had gone "Did he.." he started to say when David shrugged.
"You got me Tony." David said. "He said he would tell us next week."
"Ahh." Tony said

Saturday came quickly and Kelly and Luke dropped the boys off at her parent's house in the morning.
"Now you boys be good and help your granparents out." Tracy told them as they were about to leave.
"We will mom." Brad said and his brother nodded in agreement.
"I want the both of you to be careful." Tracy's mother, Ellen, told them.
"We will mom." Tracy said as she kissed her mother on the cheek and then hugged her father.
"I'll take good care of her, Mrs. Morris." Luke said
"You better," Ellen told him with a smile "Come here and give me a hug."
Luke gave Tracy's mother a hug and then shook hands with her father. "Come on Trace, we need to get going." he said
Tracy nodded and gave both Brad and Mark a kiss on the check and went and got in the car. Luke got in as well and started it up. As he put it in gear, Tracy rolled down the window and waved goodbye as they pulled out of the driveway.
"You think they have a clue?" Luke asked as he put his sunglasses on and drove away from the house.
Tracy laughed. "I think they might yeah and i think their happy for us."
Luke grinned and reached over and took Tracy's hand. "Yeah, i had the guys at work completely baffled." he said and kissed her hand. "You ready?"
"I'm ready." Tracy told him smiling.
Luke smiled back and pointed the Jeep Grand Cherokee towards Las Vegas.

After Luke and Tracy got into Las Vegas several hours later, they went in search of a hotel and went ahead and checked into the bridal suite. After they checked in, they briefly consulted a map and drove out to the place that Tracy had picked for their wedding. It took about 20 minutes, but they eventually found it.
Luke stopped the car in front of the little chapel and turned to Tracy. "You ready?"
Tracy took his hand and squeezed. "Let's do it." She said with a smile.
Luke smiled and got out of the Jeep Cherokee. He opened the back door and got out his garmet bag that held his suit, while Tracy did the same. Once they had gotten the clothes, they closed the doors and Luke armed the security system. Tracy came around the car and took Luke's hand and they walked  hand in hand up to the chapel.
It was simple little white washed chapel on the outside and the inside was as equally simple. There was a small office when they first went inside and a man in cleric's clothing looked up from paper work and looked at them. "May I help you?"
"Yes." Luke said. "We would like to get married."
The older man with salt and pepper hair smiled. "Of course, that is what we do here." He saw the garment bags in their hands and smiled again. "I take it that you would like to do it right now?"
"Yes, as soon as possible." Tracy said grinning. "Do you have rings?"
"Why yes we do." He opened a desk drawer and brought out a large velvet square covered with gold rings. "These are all 10k gold and are very reasonable."
Tracy took the velvet square and looked at the rings for a moment. "Well," she asked looking up at Luke. "What do you think?"
Luke looked at the rings and picked up one with three star bursts on it. "Wow this is a nice one." He said showing it to Tracy.
Tracy looked at the ring for a moment and then nodded "This is perfect, if it doesn't cost to much."
Luke nodded his head and showed it to the Reverned. "How much is this one?"
The man took out a pair of glasses and put them on and looked at the ring. "Ahh, a beautiful choice. I tell you what, since you both seem so nice, you give me 50 dollars and I'll give you both rings, the license and the total package ceremony."
"Wow." Tracy said
"Wow is right!" Luke said as he looked down and found another ring and slipped it onto his finger to see if it fit. He handed one to Tracy and smiled. "Make sure it fits."
Tracy slipped the ring onto her finger, it fit perfectly and she smiled at Luke.
Luke nodded and took the ring from her finger, he handed them to the older gentlemen and reachd into his backpocket and took out his wallet. He placed a 50 dollar bill onto the table. "I guess you got yourself a deal Reverend."
The Reverend smiled and opened a drawer, he took out a marriage license and a rather large book for them to sign. "Okay I need you to fill this paper out completely so I will know the names for the ceremony and sign this book. Now if you both will excuse me, I must go arrange things. Shall we do this in say...one hour?" He said looking at his watch.
"That sounds good to me." Tracy said, smiling.
"Me too. That will be fine." Luke said as he took a pin out of his breast pocket and started filling out marriage license.

A short time later, one of the Reverend's associates, a Mr. Barrett, showed Luke and Tracy to seperate dressing rooms and gave Tracy a simple veil for her head.
"We shall be starting in 45 minutes and I am to give you away." The middle aged man said before he left.
Tracy smiled and nodded as she hung up her garment bag and sat down at the dressing table.
She looked at herself in the mirror and saw that the door was open. She got up quickly and closed it. She sat back down and took out her pony tail. She brushed out her long auburn hair and picked it up to make a french twist. She secured it with a shiny silver clip and sprayed it with hair spray
Tracy got up and went over to the bed, she unzipped the garment bag and looked at her dress. It was a simple slip dress that went down to her knees. It had spaghetti straps and a small slit in the side. It  was covered with tiny mother of pearl beads that shimmered and she changed out of her clothes and slipped it over her head. She looked at herself in the mirror and sat back down to start putting on her makeup.
Meanwhile in the next room, Luke was getting ready as well. He put the garment bag on a hook and opened it and took out a dark grey suit.
Taking the coat off, he laid it down on the bed and then unbottend the shirt so it was open. He got out of his own clothes and laid them down on the bed and pulled the pants off the hanger and put them on. Then put the dress shirt on and buttoned it up. Getting the tie off the hanger he walked over to the mirror and started putting it on.
Tracy put on her mauve lipstick and smacked her lips together, she put on a light spray of her favorite perfume and got up to get the veil that she had been given. There was a small pack of bobby pins on the dressing table and she carefully placed the veil on her head. She looked in the mirror to see if she liked where it sat. She was satisfied with it and took a few bobby pins and secured it there. She covered her face with the netting and took a deep breath as she slipped on her heels and looked in the mirror. SHE was ready to get married.
Luke had finished getting ready himself, now he was looking at his refection in the mirror. He raised an eyebrow "The name is Duke....Luke Duke." he said in an James Bondish type voice and laughed.
"I actually don't look to bad in a suit." he commented to himself and then took a deep breath. "I'm ready." he added and then walked to the door.

At exactly 6 o'clock, Mr. Barrett knocked on Tracy's door, carrying a bouquet or white roses. The young woman opened the door and the middle aged man smiled.
"You look lovely, here is your bouquet."
"Thank you, I'm just a little nervous." She said as she took the bouquet and took the man's left arm.
"There is nothing to worry about, you will do just fine." He said as he led her down the hall and right up to two large wooden doors. "When the music starts we go in..."
Tracy nodded as she gripped his arm with a very shaky hand. She had asked the Reverend to request a special song, and now she eagerly awaited to hear it.
A few moments later...the mellow notes of her favorite song, You Light Up My Life started to play and Mr. Barrett opened the door and escorted her inside.
The chapel was quite beautiful, the setting sun cast a soft yellow light down onto the white marble alter where the Reverend and Luke were standing. She smiled at him as Mr. Barrett led her down the red carpeted aisle. They both stopped at the altar and Mr. Barrett kissed her cheek and stood behind and to the side of her and Luke.
Luke smiled at Tracy and took her hand. "You look really nice." he told her softly
"So do you..." She said with a smile
The Reverend cleared his throat and they both stopped gawking at each other and turned to face him.
"Dearly Beloved...we are gathered here today to join this man and this woman in Holy Matrimony. Marriage is a serious commitment and the ultimate expression of the love that you both have for one another. It is the start of a new life together and something that should not be taken lightly." He looked over their heads and right at Mr. Barrett. "Who gives this woman's hand in marriage?"
"I do." He said and the Reverend smiled and nodded his head.
He reached into his pocket and took out the rings and placed them on his Bible.
"The ring is a symbol of love, its shape represents eternity. For like a circle, love has no end." He looked at Tracy and cleared his throat. "Tracy you will repeat after me."
 Tracy nodded
"I, Tracy Ann Morris do take this man to be my lawfully wedded husband."
Tracy looked at Luke as she repeated the lines "I, Tracy Ann Morris do take this man to be my lawfully wedded husband."
"To have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, in sickness and in health til death do you part."
Tracy's eyes started to mist up a little as she repeated the next lines. "To have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, in sickness and in helth til death do us part."
The Reverend took the ring and placed it in her hand. "Now you will put this ring on his left ring finger and repeat after me again."
Tracy took the ring and as Luke held up his hand, she placed the ring on his finger and smiled at him.
"With this ring, I do thee wed."
Tracy looked straight into Luke's eyes as she said the next part. "With this ring, I do thee wed."
The Reverend gave her a nod and turned his attention to Luke. "Lukas you will repeat after me."
Luke nodded his head and swallowed hard
"I, Lukas Kaleb Duke do take this woman to be my lawfully wedded wife."
Luke cleared his throat. "I, Lukas Kaleb Duke do take this woman to be my lawfully wedded wife."
"To have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, in sickness and in health til death do you part."
Luke looked at Tracy and squeezed her hand. "To have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, in sickness and in health til death do you part."
The Reverend took the ring and placed it in his hand. "Now you will put this ring on her left ring finger and repeat after me again."
Luke nodded and with a very shaky hand, slipped the band onto her ring finger
"With this ring, I do thee wed."
Luke looked a Tracy's face and saw her tears. "With this ring, I do thee wed."
Reverend Talbot closed his Bible and smiled. "Very good, and now by the power invested in me by the Lord our God and the state of Nevada, I now procclaim you man and wife. Lukas, you may raise her veil and kiss your bride."
Luke smiled widely as he took the ends of the veil that covered Tracy's face and gently tossed it over her head. He touched her cheek gently and the two gently kissed.
"May I now present Mr. and Mrs. Lukas Duke." Reverend Talbot said smiling as he placed his hands on their shoulders. "May God be with you both." He said before leaving the altar and going out the two wooden doors.
After the Reverand left, Luke squeezed Tracy's hand and smiled at her. "We did it." he said
"We sure did and it's the happiest moment of my life." Tracy said as she hugged him.
 "I love you." Luke said
"Love you too honey... so much." She whispered in his ear.
Luke bent down and gave her another kiss. "Come on, lets get out of here."
"Let's change first."
"Alright." Luke said, taking her hand and leading her off the alter and back up the aisle

The door to the Bridal Suite swung open and Luke carried his new bride into the brightly red satin decorated room.
"Nice." Luke commented as he came into the room and shut the door behind him with his foot. "Girl your getting heavy." he added
"Oh I am not! You can put me down now Romeo." Tracy said as she looked around the room.
Luke chuckled and walked over to the bed and set her down on it. "There we are fair Juliet."
"That's Mrs. Duke to you there Bub." She said as she hugged him.
Luke hugged her back, laughing. "My apoligies Mrs. Duke."
"That's better! Remember we are married now." She said jokingly as she kissed him.
"I'm not going to forget that." Luke said, smiling and kissing her again.
After a moment, they broke away and Luke laughed. "I think i should call Bo and tell him what we did. Man is he not going to be to happy with me."
"Sure he will! He'll be happy we finally got married."
Luke chuckled as he walked over to his bag sitting on the floor and rummaged through it for a second for the sheet of paper that had Bo's new number on it. He found it a moment later and then walked back over to the phone and picked up the receiver. Glancing at the sheet of paper, he dialed the number and sat down on the bed.
"Hello..." Bo said on the second ring.
"Hey cousin." Luke said, smiling and biting his lip to keep from laughing.
"Hey Lukas! What's going on in the big CA?"
Luke laughed and looked at Tracy. "Actually i'm not in L.A at the moment. I'm in Las Vegas."
"Vegas? Doing a little gambling Cousin?"
"Well....not quite." Luke said.
"Then uhh...what are you doing there?"
Luke laughed. "Tracy and i eloped Bo." he said. "She and i just got married."
Bo's trademark hysterical laughter came bursting over the wires and rang out for a mintue or two.
Tracy heard the laughter and looked at Luke with an eyebrow raised. "Uhh let me guess. that hyena I hear is my new cousin-in-law?"
Luke nodded. "I'm being serious Bo." he said into the phone
"I know you are, you sly dog! I can't beleive it, Luke Duke took the plunge! Did hell freeze over today? Cause as I recall a certain dark headed cousin of mine once said he'd get married when hell froze over." Bo said, still trying to control the laughter.
"Yeah i guess i did." Luke said, running a hand through his hair. "No, actually Tracy and i just decided to do it. So, we came down here."
"Yeah, after i beat him over the head." Tracy said laughing, raising her voice so Bo could hear her.
Bo started laughing. "Hey, let me talk to the blushing bride."
"He wants to talk to you." Luke said, holding the phone out to Tracy.
"Ok," Tracy said taking the phone and putting it up to her ear. "Hello?"
"Hey Cousin, Congratulations! But you do know what this means don't ya? You owe me 50 dollars."
Tracy frowned and then laughed. "Yeah i guess i do, don't I." she said. "Will you take a check?"
"No way Lady, I want it CFB."
"What's CFB?" Tracy asked
"Cash for Bo!"
Tracy rolled her eyes, but couldn't help laughing. "Your crazy, you know that?" she said "I guess this means, Luke and i are going to be doing some gambling."
"That I am and yes you are! Can I please speak to the groom again?"
"Sure." Tracy said. "Talk to you later." she added before she passed the phone back to Luke.
"I'm here." Luke said
"You know Cousin I should punch you in the nose for doing this without me."
Luke laughed. "Well i guess its a good thing we are in separate states."
"I said that I should, I didnt say I was going to. I'm just glad that I won the bet!"
Luke raised an eyebrow. "What bet?"
"Oh didn't Tracy tell you that she owes me 50 dollars? We made a bet when i was in LA that she could get you to marry her. I said she could, but she said she couldn't."
"No, she didn't tell me about it." Luke said as he looked at Tracy, who only smiled
"Well I'll let her tell ya all about it whenever you two get a free moment. But I'm sure you'll both be busy for the next few days." Bo said snickering.
Luke blushed and looked at Tracy.
"What?" she asked. "What'd he say...oh never mind, i can guess." she added, laughing
"Do you need to have that talk about the birds and the bees Cousin?"
"Bo..." Luke sputtered
Bo started to laugh loudly. "I see your face turning a thousand colors Cousin. So I better let you go um.. play."
Luke laughed. "So how are you cousin?" he asked, changing the subject. "Texas ok?"
"Oh sure change the subject! Texas is good, sorta like Hazzard but the roads are paved and there are less COWS around."
Luke laughed. "And more cars, right." he said and then became serious for a moment. "You adjusting ok?"
"Yeah, we're doing okay Luke. Listen this is your wedding night and you shouldn't spend it on the phone."
"I know." Luke said. "Ok, well send my love to the Kelly and Olivia and i'll talk to you when i get back to L.A."
"You got it Cousin, give our love to Tracy and the boys and call me whenever you get a chance."
"Will do cousin. Take care." Luke said.
"Take care yourself, bye Luke."
"Bye." Luke said and hung up the phone. He turned to his wife and raised an eyebrow. "So, tell me about this bet."
Tracy smiled and a light pink color came to her cheeks. "Umm, well.. remember when you were both in the hospital and you broke your leg?"
Luke nodded. "Ah, so that's what you and Bo went to discuss out in the hall."
"Yeah, he bet me 50 dollars that I could get you to marry me within 6 months."
Luke raised an eyebrow. "Did you not think I would say yes?"
Tracy shrugged her shoulders. "It's not that I thought you would say no, but I thought that maybe it was too soon for us to get serious. Are you mad?"
Luke shook his head. "No, i'm not mad."
"Oh good." Tracy moved closer to him and put her arms around his neck and kissed him. "I can't believe it, Mrs. Luke Duke. I can't tell you how happy I am to be your wife."
Luke grinned. "And i can't tell you how happy i am that you are my wife...I love you very much Tracy, don't ever doubt that."
Tracy smiled and touched his face. "I don't doubt that...there are so many things I want to talk to you about."
Luke reached up and took her hand away from his face. He then kissed it and held it between his own. "Like what?" he asked.
"Well...our future, I want us to have kids. If that is okay."
"But we have kids, we have Brad and Mark."
Tracy laughed a little and nodded "I know, but I want to have your baby." She said as she kissed him.
"You mean right now?"
"Maybe not now, but I mean in the future."
Luke let out a little sigh of relief and nodded his head. "That will be fine with me."
"Well Mr. Duke, how shall we spend the rest of this evening." Tracy said as she gave him a seductive smile.
Luke grinned "I don't know Mrs. Duke. What did you have in mind?"
Tracy gave him a mischevious smile and got up from the bed, she went to the lamp and turned it off, bathing the room in darkness. She found her way back to the bed and kissed her husband tenderly. "Oh I might have an idea or two." She said as she fumbled with his shirt.

Tracy awoke the next morning to sunlight streaming through the window. She yawned and stretched, then turned her head to see if Luke was awake yet, he was and he smiled at her.
"What are you smiling at?" She asked as she traced her fingers along his jaw.
"You." he said. "I was just laying her, watching you sleep and thinking how lucky i am."
"You've seen me asleep lots of time Honey."
Luke smiled and ran a hand through her hair. "I know, but its different now"
Tracy creased her brow. "Why is it different?"
"Because we're married now."
"Ahh, you are right, because you are MINE NOW!" She said as she quickly straddled his stomach and started tickling him.
Luke laughed. "Stop that," he said as he tried to grab her hands. "Quite it now."
"No way Duke!" She said as her fingers tickled his sides.
"Trace..Stop..Please." Luke said
Tracy saw that pitiful look on his face and she stopped and crossed her arms. "Aww I can't say no to this face." She said as she pinched his cheek.
Luke grinned and then grabbed her at the waist and rolled her off of him and onto the bed. He laughed and leaned over her. "Now i can give you taste of your own medicine." he said as he started tickling her
"Luke that's not fair!" Tracy said as she screamed and laughed hysterically.
"Tough." Luke said laughing and continuing to tickle her
Tracy grabbed the hands that were groping her sides and held them as she tried to catch her breath. "Aha! Now what are you going to do?"
Luke grinned. "Just this." he said and kissed her on the lips
Tracy sat up and put her arms around his neck and hugged him. "You are crazy do you know that?"
Luke chuckled. "I know."
"So what do you want to do today?"
Luke sighed. "I don't know. We should probably visit the casino's at some point so you can win the $50 dollars you owe my cousin."
"True...we could claim that he was not in his right mind when he made that bet. I mean he did have that concussion."
Luke chuckled. "Well you don't know my cousin as well as i do...He's never in his right mind."
"In other words that whap on the noggin isn't a good excuse to use huh?"
Luke shook his head. "Sorry Honey."
Tracy shrugged her shoulders and kissed her husband. "Oh well... it was the best 50 bucks I ever spent." She said with a smile.

A short time later, the elevator doors in the lobby opened and Luke and Tracy came out of them, hand in hand. The doorman opened the fancy doors marked "Hotel Del Empresario" and tipped his hat to the adorable couple. Luke was in jeans and a pocket t-shirt while Tracy was in a pair of black shorts and a flowered short-sleeved shirt.
"So where too first?" She asked as she smiled at the polite door man.
Luke looked at his watch, it read 9:30. "How about we get some breakfast first?"
"Breakfast is good, I'm starving." She looked around at all the restaurant's that were within walking distance. "Uhh,which one?"
Luke looked around as well. "How about that one...Nicky's." he said pointing to the one he was talking about.
Tracy looked at the restaurant, and it seemed nice. "Okay, looks cozy, let's go."
Luke nodded and they starte walking towards the resturante. A few minutes later they were there and Luke opened the door. "After you." he said to Tracy
"Why thank you." Tracy said as she bowed dramatically, she went in the open door and Luke smacked her on the rump. "Hey watch it handsy!"  She said as she looked at him and stuck her tongue out.
Luke chuckled. "Sorry, couldn't help it."
"Ha! I bet you ain't sorry." She said as the hostess came over to greet them.
"Hi Welcome to Nicky's, table for two?"
"Yes. Please." Luke answered
The hostess smiled at him and picked up two menus. "Right this way..." She led them over to a nice table by the window and placed the menus down at each place. "Your waitress will be right with you."
"Thank you." Luke said and as the hostess left, he pulled a chair out for Tracy. "Mrs Duke."
Tracy smiled and sat down in the chair, Luke pushed it in and she picked up the menu. "Wow I can get use to this gentlemanly treatment."
Luke grinned as he sat down and picked up his own menu. "Hmm...Everything looks good." he said after a moment
"Yeah it does, I think I'll have an omelette."
Luke nodded. "Yeah that sounds good to me to."
A few moments later, a young blond haired girl wearing a hunter green uniform came to the table."Hi, I'm Shannon, what can I get you both to drink?"
"Decaf for me, Luke?"
"Decaf for me to."
"Okay." Shannon said as she wrote it down. "And are you both ready to order or do you need a few more minutes?"
"No, we're ready." Luke said. "Omelettes for us both."
"Okay, what kind?"
"I'll have the Denver." Tracy said looking at the variety of omlettes they offered.
Luke looked at the menu again. "I think i'll have the ham and cheese."
"Very good, I'll be right back with your coffees." Shannon said as she took the menus and left.
Tracy reached across the table with her left hand and placed it on top of Luke's. The light from the window hit the small gold ring on her finger and she looked at it and smiled. "I still can't believe we did this, what are the boys going to say?"
Luke smiled. "I'm sure they'll be happy for us." he said
"Yeah I think they will."
Shannon came back with two coffee mugs and a pot, she filled them both and left.
Luke took a sip of his coffee. "So what do you want to do before we hit the casinos?:
"Well Vegas has some great sites, we can go get the jeep and do a little sight seeing."
"That sounds good to me." Luke said as he took another sip of his coffee
It was ten til ten when Shannon brought their breakfasts, she set them down in front of them and refilled their coffees. "Here you go, one Denver omelette and one ham and cheese omelette. If there is anything else, please let me know." She smiled at them and left their table.
"Looks good." Luke said as he picked up his fork
Tracy smiled and took a bite of her omelette. "It is good, yeah we can go to Hoover Dam after we eat."
"That sounds good to me." Luke said as he took another bite of his omelette.

After the happy couple ate and paid for their breakfast they went back to the Hotel and got the jeep and drove out to Hoover Dam. After parking the jeep in the parking lot, the couple walked hand in hand to the dam.
"I've always wanted to see this dam. It supplies power to a lot of states." Tracy said
"Thats what i've heard." Luke replied
They were just in time for the tour, and a young woman in a khaki colored uniform took the group through the mountain and to the dam itself.
The newly married couple stepped through the semi-lighted tunnel and emerged from the other side to a spectacular view of a dam that was hudreds of feet above millions of gallons of water. It was a spectacular sight, the bright blue water that went on for miles.
"Wow...." Tracy said as she put her arm around Luke.
"Long way down." Luke said
"Long way out too. The water is so beautiful looking."
Luke nodded and smiled, looking at Tracy "Just like someone standing next to me."
Tracy looked at him and smiled. "Such a smooth talker."
Luke chuckled and kissed her on the cheek. "Well its true."
"You keep talking like that and we won't have any trouble having a baby."
Luke blushed.
Tracy burst out laughing. "My, my, the mighty Fire Marshall is as red as a fire engine. Has that comment turned my new husband into a clam?"
Luke cleared his throat. "Course not...So, where should we go when we leave here?"
"Nice diversionary tactic. How about we go to the strip and see whatever sights they have there?"
Luke made a face. "That means, Shopping."
"Exactly!" Tracy saw him wrinkle his nose and she pouted dramatically and lowerd her head. "Please..."
"Oh, alright.." Luke said, giving in
"Thank you." She said as her face brightened suddenly.
The tour was over a few minutes later and the couple went back to the jeep and drove out to the strip.
"I want to look at all the shops and maybe find some great souveniers."
Luke nodded. "That sounds good. Maybe i can find something for Bo and them." he said as they parked. "So which store should we visit first?"
Tracy looked at all the shops tucked in between the casinos. She saw a Southwest store and she pointed it out."Let's go there first."
"Ok," Luke said and opened his door.
Tracy got out as well and they joined hands and walked to the store.
Tracy looked around at all of the Native American items and she smiled. "Wow! Look at the beautiful things Luke."
"They are nice." Luke agreed
"Maybe we can get one for the house?"
"Sure." Luke said. "Just pick out whatever you like."
"Great!" Tracy picked out a beautiful white and grey Indian Mandella, said to bring good luck. "What do you think of this one?"
Luke looked at it and nodded. "I like that one, yeah." he said
"Me too, they are supposed to bring good luck. I say we need it. Besides, it is the perfect souvenier of our trip to Las Vegas." She said as she went to pay for it.
After Tracy paid for the Mandella they left the store and continued down the strand, looking in the different stores as they went. Luke found a couple of things and so did Tracy and around 2 they found a nice little resturant to eat lunch in.
"What should we do next?" Luke asked as they came out of the resturant about an hour later.
Tracy shrugged. "Well I do owe Bo 50 dollars, why don't we hit the casinos?"
"True." Luke said laughing. "Ok, so its on to the casino's."
They walked down to the casino's. There were lots of people milling around as they got closer to the casino's.
"So which one should we try first? What are you up for?" Luke asked as he looked around at all the casino's
Tracy smiled. "I want to play Black Jack."
Luke chuckled. "Sounds good." he said and looked at the casino's again. "How about the Desert Oasis, that one looks like it might be good." he said, pointing to the brightly lit building that was 4 buildings down from them
"Sure, let's go. I feel lucky!"
Luke laughed again and took her hand. "Lets go, then." he said and they walked down to the Desert Oasis.
Tracy and Luke were greated by a man in a tuxedo, in the middle of the afternoon, as they went inside. It was surprisingly empty and the tuxedoed man directed them to the Black Jack tables located at the end of the room.
That room was a little more occupied and Tracy sat down at the first empty table she found. She sat on one of the stools and Luke sat beside her.
"I'd like 100 dollars in chips please." She told the dealer as she opened her purse and took out a 100 dollar bill.
"Yes Ma'am." He said as he slid her a small stack of blue chips. "Shall we play?"
Tracy nodded her head and set 4 blue 5 dollar chips down on the table. "Deal."
The young man shuffled the cards and dealt her one face up and one face down. The face card was a 10 and the down card was a 10 as well. "I'll stay."
The dealer dealt himself two cards and flipped them over. They were a King and  5, he took the chance and it turned out bad, he got another face card. "The house looses." He said as he smiled at her and gave her 4 more chips.
Tracy now had 8 chips down and she left them there. "Again please."
The dealer gave her two cards and dealt himself two as well. Tracy had a 7 and a face card. She showed them to Luke. "What do you think? Should I hit or stay?:
"Stay." Luke said
Tracy nodded. It would be the logical thing to do. But this was Las Vegas, logic didn't exist there. "Hit me." She said.
As she placed all of her chips down on the table, much to Luke's surprise.
The dealer was a bit surprised at her boldness was well. "Yes Ma'am." He took the card and flipped it over as he placed it on the table. It was a 4.
"21!" She said as she clapped her hands and cheered.
Luke breathed a sigh of relief and then kissed his wife on the cheek."You had me worried." he said laughing. "Congratulations."
"Trust me, I'm feeling very lucky, the 240 is staying on this table. Let's play again Kid."
The dealer nodded his head and another game began. For the next hour, Tracy's stack of chips grew bigger and bigger. When she finally decided she had played enough, she had won over 3 thousand dollars. She got a paper bag from a waiter and put the chips inside. They cashed them on the way out and Tracy put the money in her purse. "I think I'm ready to go to another casino."
Luke looked slightly taken aback. "Honey, you just won over 3 thousand dollars. You reallly want to go somewhere else?"
"Well....we could go back to our room until dinner time.. I mean that's in 4 hours. It's only after 3 now."
Luke grinned. "That sounds like another good plan to me...Besides, we should get that money in a safe or something."
"Well at least I have the money to pay back Bo. Maybe I can coax him into another bet. We can bet on how long it will take us to have a child. I bet he'll want to bet that it happens right away. Ha! Not likely, I say not for a year at least. I mean that's how long it took me to get pregnant with the boys."
Luke held up a hand. "Whoa, slow down there girl." he said. "A year sounds good to to me."
"I know Honey, me too. But what do you say I bet Bo a 100 that it will take us a year to get pregnant. We will be getting back our 50 plus 50% profit!"
Luke chuckled. "Alright, lets do it." he said
"Great, we'll make the bet when we get back to LA. Easy money, honey." She said as she kissed him. "Come on, let's go kill some time."

Luke and Tracy came downstairs around 7 to go find something for dinner.
"How about we try the restaurant here?" Luke asked as he looked at the little restaurant tucked into one corner of the hotel
"Sure, it doesn't matter."
Luke nodded and they walked over to the restaurant. As they stepped inside, they were met by someone who showed them to their seats.
Luke picked up the menu that had been placed in front of him and looked at it for a moment. "Do you know what you want?" he asked after a moment.
"I could go for a big hamburger and some fries."
Luke nodded. "Yeah this steak looks good."
"If you want to get a steak, go for it Honey."
Just then a waiter came over to them.
"Hi, my name is Allen and i'll be your server for tonight. What can i get for you folks to drink?"
Tracy wanted to a drink but she decided against it. "Ice tea please."
"Beer for me." Luke said.
Allen wrote both choices down on a pad. "And have ya'll decided or do you need some more time?"
Tracy looked at Luke. "Do you need more time?"
Luke shook his head and glanced at the menu briefly. "I think i'll have the T-bone and some fries." he said
"I'll have the avocado cheeseburger and fries, please." She said as she handed the waiter her menu.
Allen wrote that down on the pad and nodded. "Good choices. I'll be right back with your drinks" he said and left the table
As the waiter left, Luke reached over and took Tracy's hand and held it between his own. "So how are you enjoying married life so far?" he asked
"I love it." She said as she squeezed his hands.
"Me to." Luke said
Allen came back over to the table with their drinks. "Your dinner will be out in a few minutes." he said as he set their drinks down in front of them and left again.
"Wonder how Bo, Kelly and Olivia are getting along." Luke said as he took a sip of his beer.
"I'm sure they are getting along fine. They both are pretty easy to adjust."
